Hiking DeLeon Springs Florida

After your pancake breakfast, take a hike at DeLeon Springs State Park. It offers the following options:

You will find the trails behind the Visitor Center/museum building, walking toward the entrance toll booth.

Wild Persimmon Trail: 4+ miles, have not personally done

Monkey Island Trail: was too muddy to use in the following pictures (December 2017) due to remains of Hurricane Irma.

Tree trail: short, boardwalk lined trail, easy and enjoyable; Old Methusaleh tree is 400+ years old

Take a swim in the spring after your hike.

Kayaking and canoeing also available.
